I sure HOPE this is "fanatical rightwing nonsense", but....
...... the fact that someone felt moved to write it and someone else is willing to publish it troubles me greatly.
This same issue has been broached here; with the consensus being that the military would not support despotism. But here's another opinion. And another problem is how do "the people" and our military collectively know/perceive/decide WHEN the line between overreaching socialist statism and despotism is crossed? All I can say is I hope this guy is wrong. But it does not help my nascent feeing of unease and impending doom to know that our POTUS is currently ignoring the law as written and the constitutional limits of his power CONSTANTLY and without challenge from the Congress. The Courts cannot challenge this behavior; someone has to bring the action before them.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

The current POTUS is more free than any other in our history to force his agenda on us because of his skin color. Dennis Cucinich (sp?) stated the obvious, that the Constitution provides for one method to at least slow down an out of control Executive, but that it will never happen to this one.
What scares me more than him is the lack of action on the part of Congress. The House has the power of the purse, but fails to use it. When they went after Obamacare they picked the wrong target. It was too obvious, and too big. Many smaller targets would probably have been more effective.
We are in trouble. To what degree, I don't know.

I think I said it before on this forum: The so-called "government shutdown" was EXACTLY what the House SHOULD have done. Then there should have been a case-by-case funding of things that needed to be funded and in the amount that needed to be funded AND NOT ONE PENNY MORE. The democrats and their left-wing propaganda apparatus that passes for a "mainstream media" mounted a MASSIVE misinformation campaign to punish the republicans in the all-important polls, and that vast body of folks whose livelihood is in one way or another dependent on government bloat followed like the gluttonous sheep they are. The democrat majority in the Senate will never convict Obama even if the House impeaches him. And even if Obama was impeached and convicted, it would leave Biden in the White House and things would be no better and perhaps worse. "Shutdown" by purse strings is our only hope; but the House hasn't got the collective guts to do it.

When someone on a gun forum is quoting super liberal Kucinich...things are troublesome indeed.Swampman wrote:The current POTUS is more free than any other in our history to force his agenda on us because of his skin color. Ha! Kuccinich, although liberal, does know when the law is broken, even when he wants it. He might not be of the same mind as me, but he does have integrity with respect to the constitution.

I certainly respect Cuccinich; he's outright and open about his beliefs, unlike dein fuhrer.

Don't worry guys. This administration set the standard. Eventually a Republican will be in the White House again, then the libs will be all for reduction in government spending, reeling in Executive Orders and using the impeachment process.
Re: I sure HOPE this is "fanatical rightwing nonsense", but....
I'll disagree to the extent that that latter, case-by-case funding, should have occurred before the so-called shutdown for exactly the reason you state. The media arm of the democrat party wouldn't have been able to make as big a deal out of smaller issues. The shutdown gives them a massive target to aim at. Even though only 15% of the government was affected, it still affected a large majority of the leeches and garnered a lot of attention.dorminWS wrote:I think I said it before on this forum: The so-called "government shutdown" was EXACTLY what the House SHOULD have done. My read on Kucinich (correct spelling) precisely. The first time I heard him buck his party the reason was it violated the Constitution and/or the law. Surprised me. I can deal with a liberal like that even if he is a loon.Remek wrote:Ha! Kuccinich, although liberal, does know when the law is broken, even when he wants it. This is a perverse way to look at, but it just might work.MarcSpaz wrote:Don't worry guys. This administration set the standard. No Rep will ever be thee again. IF one ever got there they'd have had to go so far left to get there it wouldn't make a difference.

Strangely enough, I don't think the term "Liberal" covers what the current admin is... I think it's Progressive/Communisim.
Cowboy T is a liberal, but even said, he respects the Constitution. For that I can respect him.
This new breed of Prog/Com is just scary, mindless, automatons who follow The Long Legged Liar In Chief like Jim Jones in Guana. Which is scary enough to make me keep most of my comments fairly censored.

Yes, exactly, there is no better show of solidarity in these hard times than if we all take out personal loans. Also, on an unrelated note I believe a salesman has infiltrated the site.insertspammerhere wrote:In these tough times, many may find they do not have enough readily available money to take a trip this year. Do not be disheartened. You can now buy them in payments. Although modern layaway plans do not continue to add interest to customer bills as they did in the past, they certainly do not give you extra spending money for your trip, either. If you need help making your last payment, get a XXX.

I've always found it fun when the Trolls come a'trolling... it's like a bleeding calf in the Amazon river, we hit it like pirahana, and they never come back again.
