Let us examine briefly some of the tricky strategy used by white liberals to harness and exploit the political energies of the Negro. The crooked politicians in Washington, D.C., purposely make a big noise over the proposed civil rights legislation. By blowing up the civil rights issue they skillfully add false importance to the Negro civil rights "leaders." Once the image of these Negro civil rights "leaders" has been blown up way beyond its proper proportion, these same Negro civil rights "leaders" are then used by white liberals to influence and control the Negro voters, all for the benefit of the white politicians who pose as liberals, who pose as friends of the Negro.

The white conservatives aren't friends of the Negro either, but they at least don't try to hide it. They are like wolves; they show their teeth in a snarl that keeps the Negro always aware of where he stands with them. But the white liberals are foxes, who also show their teeth to the Negro but pretend that they are smiling. The white liberals are more dangerous than the conservatives; they lure the Negro, and as the Negro runs from the growling wolf, he flees into the open jaws of the "smiling" fox.

The job of the Negro civil rights leader is to make the Negro forget that the wolf and the fox both belong to the (same) family. Both are canines; and no matter which one of them the Negro places his trust in, he never ends up in the White House, but always in the dog house.

The white liberals control the Negro and the Negro vote by controlling the Negro civil rights leaders. As long as they control the Negro civil rights leaders, they can also control and contain the Negro's struggle, and they can control the Negro's so-called revolt. The Negro "revolution" is controlled by these foxy white liberals, by the government itself. But the black revolution is controlled only by God.

I am also not surprised. The South kind of gets a bad rap in the racism department--especially when compared to the North. Having grown up Down South and having enough experience traveling up North and knowing enough people from above of the Mason-Dixon, I feel confident that there is generally more racism/bigotry in the North.

And as far as "elites" go,they make me sick with their particular brand of condescending, low-expectations type racism.

Actually, I'm not sure that the "northern elites" aren't more viciously condescending and dismissive towards us southern white people (particularly the ones from Appalachia) than they are towards black folks. They aren't exactly equal opportunity racists, but they seem to despise the black folks because they're black and the southern whites because they're not.

Oh, heck yeah, they are far more bigoted/hateful towards the "non-elites". Or, as they would call us, "rednecks" (or any of its variants). And to them it isn't because we are "from the South" or because black folks are black; they hate anybody who chooses to live and think differently than they do. They know best, don't you know. They hate the stupid rednecks full-stop. Black people just can't take care of themselves.

I remember to this day watching Clarence Thomas giving the Congress both barrels about the process, the accusations, and the way "I AM NOT GIVING UP!"

It ain't just northern "elites"; it's northerners in general.

I saw more racism north of the Mason Dixon line than I ever thought existed. One Yankee I worked with at the carnival was very disappointed that we didn't have "n****rs hanging in all the trees". He ranted about that for days.

A woman that I knew in Rochester NY, when I lived up there, was apalled to learn that I accepted food from a black coworker. Guy I worked with knew I was struggling, so he had his wife pack two lunches, so I would have food at lunch time. I was greatful for that. I couldn't believe that anyone in the enlightened north would judge me for accepting that food.

I could give more examples, but you get the idea.

It does occur to me though... all the racist Yankees I've known were left leaning.

One of the most racist things I heard was from a very proud elitist Democrat:

"We have to help those people [black Americans] because they can't help themselves."

Housing projects are AWFULLY convenient don't you think to keeping "those people" from "Their" neighborhoods!

Food Stamps keep them from frequenting "Their" restaurants.

One of the smartest men I know is a Black Conservative. Notice I didn't say "African-American". Why? Because HE refers to himself as a "Black Conservative". He fights an uphill battle every day. I go to HIM for political explanations because he doesn't use fancy terms, he gives it straight.

I don't use the phrase "African American". Unless, of course, I'm referring to someone who lives here, but migrated over from Africa. Even then, I don't like it. Besides, most of the African folks that I have met were white, anyway.

At any rate, I am not about to refer to a group of folks that haven't even set foot on the continent as African anything. Tis silly.
