I was kinda bummed when they said gov sharpshooters. I don't want any meet, but I would have loved the experience. They want to cut down the numbers by 100 heads too.
Night-vision hunting is something I really want to try. I was planing on doing some Coyote hunts at night, but have no idea where to donate the meat and fur.

I don't think people eat Coyotes.MarcSpaz wrote:I was kinda bummed when they said gov sharpshooters. I don't want any meet, but I would have loved the experience. They want to cut down the numbers by 100 heads too.

Fur could be donated to a taxidermist. You just need to find one who has a need.

I actually found several articles in magazines like Field & Stream that say that both Coyote and Fox are pretty tasty with a sweet meat. They have published a few recipes too. Though it doesn't seem as main stream as venison. I wouldn't mind trying it.RWBlue01 wrote:I don't think people eat Coyotes.

I found a few places that will take the fur and pay for it, but I have to skin the animal and scrape the hide at a minimum. Some want it to be stretched too. No one I found so far will take the whole carcass and I don't want to do all that work if I am not going to eat it.
