I remember Wolfenstein. Played that on my cousins computer. Then I'd get bored with it, and fire up his old Commodore to play. .. I think it was called Beam Rider or something. In retrospect, I would have done better to have him teach me about the ham radio.

One of my first games I ever played was Duke Nukem. Pixilated pig cops and horribly renditioned scantily clad women. Duke Nukem in his "macho" voice saying "Shake it babyyyy" lol. I loved that game.
One of my ultimate favorite games was the original Quake. We used to have LAN parties and see who the biggest baby would be.
The game series I think I've followed most is Civilization. It's weird because there's really not much difference between any of the games and the strategy but I've found myself buying it every time it has come out.
A least favorite game of mine... Hm... I think I'd have to go with the Halo series. Now the Solo missions have been kind of fun, but I was never overly impressed with it. The PVP always bugged the heck out of me. Mostly because of 12 yr olds whooping my 25 yr old butt, but also I just couldn't get a great grasp on speed of play. Funny, because Quake is nothing but all-out mayhem.
I remember playing the first Ultima. I was having some issues starting the game and wrote to Origin. They wrote back and included a 5 1/4 " boot disk. Those were the days.
I was always into gaming. DOOM series, then Duke Nukem, got into multiplayer gaming in a text-based dungeons and dragons game "lost souls" back in the early '90s. Mech warrior was andother of my all time favorites. I think I still have the software. Played my way through various games, then one day a buddy I introduced me to Everquest. I played myself silly on that game. Every day for hours. After a year or so of that I looked up one day and said "WTH are you doing!". I went cold turkey and no computer gaming for a few years.
These days, I play occasionally, but only XBox and PS games, and not online. Huge fan of the Hitman, Assassins Creed, and God of War series. But I dont really play much anymore. The obligations family and being a well regulated citizen take up my free time.

Then I probably shouldn't mention the next D&D Neverwinter MMORPG that just came out? =oX
FYI, I downloaded it last night and it already looks super intriguing. I played EQ2 for 4 years and played mostly Main tank for my guild back in those days.
Jeez.. When I think about all the games and all those hours played... It's crazy how I had time for anything else.
Ahh, the good old days. I tried EQ2, but it just never worked for me. Too much with the skill building. I like adventuring and learning on them job. In EQ, I played a necro most, a bard second, and a wizard third.
I'd take a look at neverwinter, but as you said, it cpuld suck my life away!

I play the hell out of Skyrim. Took me a little while to warm up to it after playing Oblivion for so long but it has turned out to be as much fun if not more. The only other game play as frequently is the NCAA College Football series and that unfortunately is coming to an end because the Ed O'Bannon case!
Started with Avalon Hill board games like Panzer Leader, Squad Leader, Panzer Blitz, etc. Still have them. Played D & D in the 80's, Atari, Intelevision, Commodore. PC games: all of the Age of Empires series, Empire Earth, Dungeon Siege and more. Knight of the Old Republic series, Halo, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas--my favorite due to variety of weapons and mods, reloading special ammo and free gameplay.
