Obamacare creating gun registry?
Obamacare creating gun registry?
Ok guys, bare with me on this I was just putting together some separate thoughts, Just my paranoia at work. A couple months ago my buddy in MA went to the doctor for a routine checkup, he is on MASSHealth which is what Obama attempted to copy (Romneycare) on the pre appt questionaire it asked do you have guns in your house! Which was never on there before, Having a house full of guns, I believe he put "None of you F'ing business" which I'm sure was entered into the system as a yes. Now fast forward to now, in a couple months many people will take part in the Gov't sponsored mess we know as Obamacare. We all know that the mental health system is screwed, nobody wants a registry, but does anybody think that more stuff like this will come maybe using the reason or excuse of trying to figure out the connections of gun ownership and the nutjobs out there? Sure, It wouldn't be a real registry BUT it would have self admitted gun owners if people played along. That info even being medically privileged wouldn't be protected by HIPAA because the gov't would be the health provider. So they technically wouldn't be maintaining the registry that there not allowed to have.
At first I though it was another stupid MA attempt to pretend they had the "Tough" gun control they claim to have. (While they do have some stupid laws, MA isn't really as gun unfriendly as people think it is). But I've read some crap over the net where people on other states (gun friendly ones) are asked this same question at the doctors visits which is what got me thinking.

NSA's new data center in Utah is big enough to store everything about everyone. If you don't think they will collect every bit of information they can get about you from every possible source, put it into that database, and use it against you, you aren't thinking.

It's my understanding that one or more of the national medical Associations is also pushing this initiative or one very much like it. Pediatrics, maybe. Deciding if you have a child and a gun in the same house it is a health risk to the child, is where that one's going, I guess. Then I suppose the scenario would be that in comes the Child Protective Services folks (who wield some SCARY powers in most jurisdictions) and gives you a choice; turn in the guns or the kid.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

No, I do not give birth to guns in my house.
No. Oh, I thought you asked if I had guns in your house, it's completely incomprehensible why you would want to know if I had guns in my own house.
No. I moved them prior to coming here, knowing you would ask. I'll move them all back when I get home.
Or

The question is will you turn in your guns to feed your family or get a sick child medical care.
In the end.
In the end.
There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, in the end, 'Thy will be done.'

I think you've hit the nail on the head, sir. And I hope you are wrong; but don't hold out much hope for that.

Sneaky. Just underhanded sneaky stuff I say... Or, it could be. I tend to lean to the worst than the best.

I habe no doubt anymore this is all about getting the list of who has what. They dont care about medical care, otherwise theyd make damn sure the rollout went right. They dont care about what you think because if they did, they'd never have passed it.
The government is going full tilt with trickery and deceit and outright bullying to get our guns. By registry today, and by confiscation tomorrow.
The problem is we bread lazy morons this past generation. They never had to take care of themselves and know no responsibility.
We are f-d in the end, I think.

I don't know if we are screwed. I know that it is the nature of tyranny to overreach. I think Obamacare might have done it.
The young 18-32 year olds are getting the worst of it in this bill. They are learning the hard way what it feels like to have the boot of gov't on your throat. Lazy they may be, but they know it when they have less $$ for baubles and beer. What they were promised is not what has been delivered. The millenials may be lazy, but they have an intrinsic sense of fairness when it applies to them. They are idealists that Obama threw a ice cold bucket of water onto.
Additionally they were promised the moon their whole lives. They were told that if they followed the rules they would have a good life...now they can't find a job and have mounting debt. Many of them are quite angry about that too.
With any luck and with a better face to the GOP than Chris Christie, (a Rand Paul would be perfect). They can be brought over to the other side. Just speak the truth and do not cower.
Just because they are lazy does not mean they are stupid too

Nope, you had it right. Most haven't got the ability to reason. Though I will say that there wasn't many with that ability beforehand, but its even worse now.Remek wrote:Morons was the wrong term. Ignorant people is what I should have said.

I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.
