There's your vast left-wing conspiracy, right there. Watch for millions of tax dollars to be redirected over the next four years to SEIU, PP, and the other criminal organizations represented on his team.

Yes, there are several on that list that bother me too, such as:
...............................................................................
Karen Conchar, Secretary-Treasurer, SEIU Virginia 512, Midland
Doris Crouse-Mays. President, Virginia AFL-CIO, Vinton
Leni Gonzalez, President, Board of Director, Shirlington Employment and Education Center, Arlington
Lori Haas, Virginia State Director, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, Richmond
Meg Gruber, President, Virginia Education Association, Chesterfield
Mike Kennedy, District 17 Representative, United Mine Workers of America, St. Paul
Donald McEachin, Member, Senate of Virginia, Henrico
Jeff Painter, Executive Director, Virginia League of Conservation Voters, Richmond
Cianti Stewart-Reid, Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, Richmond
Susan Swecker, President, Dividing Waters Public Affairs, LLC, Richmond
Edmond Turner, Disability Consultant, Turner and Associates, Richmond
............................................................................

Also notice all the doctors and medical facility administrators on the list. One might guess that he's intending to push the expansion of Medicaid. I'll predict that a few years out, all or a substantial part of the cost of that will get dumped back into the state's laps, and if TMac takes Virginia down that road, our days as a "low-tax" state will be GONE.

No doubt at all that TMac intends Obama-style "fundamental change" in the Commonwealth.

You know what? I think that would motivate the VA GOP to put forth some Libertarian candidates for FREEDOM OF CHOICES, and SMALL GOVERNMENT!

Agee has been crowing for the damned Medicaid expansion since she heard of it and Fralin owns a lot of nursing homes.

No ulterior motives here. Move along.

Looks that way. So what the FRAXK are we gonna do about it? Don't sit still people. Gotta get involved and make sure we limit the damage. That's the only way we're ever gonna be able to recover. Think we all need to subscribe to the Richmond paper so we can keep better track of what's going on.

Seeing Chief Adkins on the top of that list annoys me. Makes me almost embarrassed to have Chickahominy blood in me.

I'm certainly glad that the VA Gov position is limited to one term. I won't even broach the rhetorical question of 'how much harm could he cause in one term', because with his certain drafting in the vapors of the ACA and gun control legislation, the harm could be incalculable.

I understand what you're saying, and admit I have thought of it as well. But after much additional thought, I've decided to stay and fight them. The issue becomes, how far and how long can we run before they have us cornered in a small area of the country and have rendered us impotent to change anything. If we run, we give them exactly what they want - complete control. Of course, it is a personal choice, and I won't hold it against you, but I'd love to have as many as possible stay and get involved to fight these people.

We have two important defenses to make: 1) We have to defend our 2A rights from the onslaught we know is coming; 2) Virgina's status as a "right-to-work" state will be under assault. Unionization will kill private sector jobs in the commonwealth. We have a hard four years in front of us and we will need all the help we can get.

Like I said in another thread, I intend to visit my local Republican headquarters tomorrow and get myself involved. We have to have a say in who the GOP picks in the coming elections. No voice, no say. :friends:

I hope all the Sarvis voters feel good about voting on their "values "and giving the election to the big government crowd.

Respectfully, you're operating on the assumption that Libertarian votes are proprietary to the GOP. Many Libertarians already feel they get nothing they want, from either party.

Exit polling and other analysis after the election showed that McAuliffe may have won with an even larger margin, had Sarvis not been in the race.

Yeah...because the GOP did everything right to elect their chosen candidate. You people with the elephant blinders are just as bad as the looters supporting the Jackasses.

Quit blaming others for your leadership's shortcomings.

Continuing to blame Sarvis is a non-starter. It's over so let's get to work on '14.

The problem with the libertarians argument is they want all or nothing so instead of getting some of the principals you want you get none. This holds true for the religious right if they didn't sit out the 2012 election Romney would have won.

So we lost this election and lets try to win in 14? That's a defeatist attitude, it's like spotting a team 21 points and lets hope we can catch them in the 4th quarter. They are building bigger so it's impossible to take it away and builds your voter base.

Look at what McAuliffe and Democrats stands for:
Lager government
More spending
Expansion of Obamacare
Higher taxes
More social programs
Gun control
No limits or oversight on abortion
Regulations that hurt business
Energy policies that don't work
Gay marriage

What are Republicans known for?
Smaller government
Fiscal responsibility
Not letting government takeover healthcare
Lower taxes
Protecting the 2nd amendment
Protecting life
Pro business climate
Energy Independence
Traditional marriage

What is more inline with Libertarian views? With a margin of 2% between the two candidates and Sarvis getting 6% it's hard to say it wouldn't have mattered.

Look at the first post and tell me what you think the agenda for the next 4 years are?

But you guys stood on principal so we have that going for us.

Republicans give lip service to smaller government but they build government bigger when hey are in control--Patriot Act, DHS, TSA are all Republican creations, so don't try feeding me a crap sandwich and tell me it's pastrami.

Republicans like to claim fiscal responsibility but, again, haven't put actions to their words when they controlled things. Nope, instead, they did their best to spend like drunken sailors.

Republicans will continue to lose as long as they insist on trying to legislate their version of morality and poking their noses into people's bedrooms. You don't like gay marriage? Don't get one. You don't like abortion? Don't get one. Don't like drugs? Don't use them.

The fact is that your precious GOP has killed itself by not doing what it said it would do AND by being too damned puritanical. Keep your nose out of other people's private business and support LIBERTY in all of its forms and you MIGHT be able to salvage something from the mess you've made.
