RICHMOND
Gov. Tim Kaine says he does not believe there is any reason he would stop the execution of Washington, D.C.-area sniper John Allen Muhammad.
Muhammad is scheduled to be executed Nov. 10 for the October 2002 killing spree that left 10 dead in the nation's capital, Virginia and Maryland.
Kaine said on his monthly radio show on WTOP that Muhammad's lawyers have yet to ask for clemency, but that he would review any petition from them. He said he knows of no credible claim of innocence or procedural error that would cause him to stop the execution.
A federal court has rejected Muhammad's arguments that prosecutors withheld critical evidence and that he should not have been allowed to act as his own attorney for a portion of his trial because of his mental illness.
Kaine actually gets one right.

"Not to worry, I got this !!! " "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." Captain John ParkerRe: Kaine actually gets one right.
Kaine said he didn't believe in the death penalty but vowed to uphold the law as it currently is. At any rate the execution is long overdue and Kaine has 108 days left before he leaves office none too soon.

Howdy, Y'all,
I can't help being struck by the irony: Kaine says he will do nothing, and we are pleased.
Regards,
George

Me too, George. I turned up the radio really loud when I heard Kaine, DC Sniper, and clemency mentioned in the same sentence and waited breathlessly to hear he granted life to that scumbag.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...
