The fascists are tightening their grip. Our children are defenseless victims. But most parents don't care enough to defend them. Too many parents themselves are willing victims of government dependence, and too many others are simply apathetic.

Last night was parent-teacher conference night at my wife's school. She has ninety students. Ten parents showed up.

Some days it is hard to be optimistic.

So, push-ups and ice cream sandwiches are now flavors? And what about that dumb-assed teacher's note? What a moron. My kids never set foot in public school, and I don't intend to let that happen to my grand-kids either.

This is kind of crap that convinced us to home school our children. My son and daughter were being taught more about Caesar Chavez than George Washington. This in Prince William county which is a half an hour from Mt. Vernon. The schools, which are run more like prisons, are just commie day care centers.

Are these the same jokers that want to be able to have abortions? Because, if so, I doubt they should even trust themselves.

So, does anyone know where to sign-up for the revolution?

Is Melissa Harris-Perry serious? How asinine can they get? When my kid breaks a $2,500 table lamp in Ethan Allen, I'm sending her the bill since she wants to share the responsibility.

I worked as a salesman for a food wholesaler for awhile in college, our entire biz was schools. Holy hell the "food" we sold was generally fat, sugar, and salt in myriad combinations.

Fun fact: It wasn't until I worked at this job I learned "government cheese" is an actual real thing. Theres also "government pork" and "government beef". I was never able to ascertain what exactly these were really made from, but no one ever asked.

Fun fact 2: The "rich" school districts also received large quantities of the above.

When I was a student in college and grad school, I worked to pay my way. There was a group of us that did the sae, and many went weekly downtown to get their government cheese and other subsidies that helped them live. I never could bring myself to do it. Not only was it below standard, but it just felt bad.

Holy poop, how do they think they can get away with this. I would take this letter and my ass right over to the school super, and give them a piece of my mind. With a doctors note... my freaking ass.

grrr.... I am so glad I am home schooling, my kids had a wonderfully hand made lunch, made by me, and I could pronounce all the things that were included in the food.

Sheesh

When I was a boy, I can remember people lining up to receive actual free "government cheese" that was distributed as surplus commodities. That chees got promptly sold in most cases and went into the larders of some of the more prosperous households in the community. Why? It was reputed to be better cheese than the Piggly Wiggly sold.
