One step closer to the prohibition of private firearms ownership. Better buy them while you still can.

Well it looks as if there will be very little need for it now don't you think. Obama is going to do everything in his power between now and 2016 to limit the 2A.
Obama has wiped his A$$ with the Constitution and never even looked at it as he flushed it down the toliet. He ignores the laws that he does not like and just wait and see he will go after Syria without congressional approval because he has no care for the seperation of powers.

I don't know why, but of all his Intolerable Acts this one really hit me hard. I guess it's because I think of all the Law Abiding Citizens (like me) who will never get to own one of those fine rifles. I think about the Vets (the few still around) that could tell the stories of those firearms. And the programs the CMP runs to teach our kids the value and discipline of marksmanship.
So, I guess it's OK to Hope to be able to realize a Dream, as long as His Majisty thinks it's OK.

I hate that sonofbeyatch soooo much. Seriously. I hated Jimmy Carter before, but he cannot hold a candle to this asshat.

Didn't realize the CMP actually imported guns. I thought they only handled what the military gave them. They also orgamize shoots, so there is that. Keep in mind it was chartered by Congress and, if I understand things, they have special dispensation by law to do things (like mail rifles to homes).

And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!
Re: What will become of the CMP now?
Correct. Their guns are donated to them from the military. Many are returns from our allies, such as the Greek Garands.
Orest Michaels, their Chief Operating Officer posted o their website today that although they are still reviewing the new order he didn't see it affecting them.

But what a brilliant move on the part of our Beloved Leader. I mean, these carbines and Garands are used so much by criminals. It seems like just yesterday Patty Hearst was toting a carbine during her reign of terror..........well, that was maybe 30 years ago but still. I feel so much safer.
