The VCDL Political Action Committee (VCDL-PAC) directs funds to support
pro-rights candidates for office, and to contest and derail the
candidacies of anti-freedom candidates. The VCDL-PAC is a powerful tool
in protecting our right to keep and bear arms.

With your financial support we accomplished most of our goals in both
the convention and the primaries. However, these efforts emptied our
bank (expenses for signs, brochures, table space, etc. add up quickly).
Now we face the General Election, which is the most expensive part of
the process.

The non-profit Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) lobbies and works
with office-holders, and reports to you on their votes, but is
prohibited by law from partisan activities, which includes providing
financial assistance to the VCDL-PAC.

Therefore, every cent that the VCDL-PAC gets comes from contributions
from gun rights supporters like you. Without your generous
contributions, the VCDL-PAC would not have been capable of its
influential presence at the GOP convention.

With VCDL-PAC's resources depleted, VCDL's Executive Members recently
pledged to contribute $100 each to the VCDL-PAC. Furthermore, EM
Patricia Webb of Gadsden Guns Inc. in Beaverdam has pledged to donate a
portion of the proceeds from every firearm sold at her store this July
to the VCDL-PAC.

While that is a good start, politics is a very expensive endeavor, and
for VCDL-PAC to be effective in getting the right people elected, we are
asking YOU to help us in our hour of need.

Here's what you can do:

1) Contribute to the VCDL-PAC. No amount is too small. There are three
easy ways to do it:

to contribute. Because VCDL-PAC rarely asks for money, it is especially
