Thanks! Amazon is the best thing ever out there. The only problem is packing it all off!Monkey wrote:Cole,
Indeed I'm with the HST Strike Group. I have to admit, Gibraltar always looks better when viewed from the starboard side. While YouTube is challenging, the fact that I even have internet, given the way it used to be when I started (for you old salts, think MarsGrams) keeps me content.
There's a running joke on the ship that I'm going to get my Amazon Prime stuff faster than I'm going to get the parts I need that Supply hasn't randomly cancelled yet...
As for the monkeys...if only I could use them for target practice and nobody pitch a fit...![]()

Now there's a term I haven't heard in a while.......Marsgram!

Please explain what a Marsgram is. I love stories of the good old days before there were women on ships and Tailhook was still in Vegas ha ha.

Military Auxiliary Radio System AKA Military Amateur Radio Service telegram.

I was never in the service, but I am a HAM. I was in ARES forever. I was a volunteer Assistant Emergency Coordinator in PWC working out of the EOC. We used to run a bunch of formal traffic with MARS for training exercises. Most of the time I was the Net Control Operator on the civilian side.
Around the world on a watt... those were the days. LOL
