Kid who wore NRA shirt to school facing year in prison

You have to love it when pissed off cops and idiot liberal school administrators act together to not only destroy free speech but then try to destroy those who practice it.

This is most definitely BS!

the arresting officer from the Logan City Police Department, James Adkins, claims that when Jared refused to stop talking, that hindered his ability to do his job, hence, the obstruction charge.
Not very good at his job then, if he can't do it when a teenager is talking.

Weren't there a lot of cases back in the 60s/70s involving "free speech" clothing that upheld that kind of expression as a valid exercise of free speech? Of course, I guess the libtards feel like it is the content that condemns the speech in this case. Never ceases to amaze me how liberals only support civil liberties for those who agree with them.

I hate to see them making a example of this kid, but that's their game. It's the Chicago way.

Where is the exit door i would like to leave the liberal asylum. Poor kid probly tried to defend himself while being shouted down in the principle's office.

This just feels/sounds absurdly wrong. Something hasn't come out yet. Either the kid did something really wild and crazy or the cop and the teacher need to be locked up.

I'd like to say I'm shocked. I'd like to say I'm horrified. I'm not.

Sadly it has become part of the course. If you are Caucasian, male, and God forbid conservative or libertarian and you run afoul of the powers that be expect to be made an example of, have charges made up against you, and generally have them try to ruin your life in any and every way they can for as long as they can. Petty thugs have taken their cues from on high and no one, not innocent 5 year olds, not grandpas, not 14 year olds are exempt from their tyranny.

That said this is bull-hockey. It is an attempt to intimidate a person who embarrassed them. Talking is obstruction of justice? Really? REALLY? Talk about a railroading.

talking is interference and based on the SCOTUS ruling silence can be used against you... sound like the only frigging choice to say to any LEO.... at any time, in any situation is:

I invoke my 5th amendment rights and want to talk to a lawyer.

Seems like Gun Owners Foundation has decided to jump in "pro bono". GOA send it in there email alert. Time to take the gloves off. I have a feeling that the zero tolerance is going to be hacked to pieces but there will be no terrorist screams behind its death. Sad people are that stupid.
So apparently the cop told him to turn the shirt over because it constitutes a terrorist threat but then charged him with obstruction. Wonder where they found officer doofus.

If that "shirt constitutes a terrorist threat" crap stands, liberty is dead in this country, and Nazi/Stalin-style oppressive totalitarianism is a reality. The cop ought to be fired. The teacher ought to be fired. The principal that didn't nip this bullsh!t in the bud ought to be fired. I started to say they ought to be lobotomized, but based upon their demonstrated intelligence levels, you could poke a rod into their heads and stir around all day without hitting any brains; much less scrambling them.

Sadly brother... even THAT can be used to infer you're involved in something nefarious.

Silence is incriminating. Refusing to follow an unlawful order by the police gets your put in jail. The government executes unlawful searches and the Constitutionally sworn officers of the law march dutifully along.

FOLLOW ORDERS, CITIZEN.

What a sad day for the police in this case who can't deal with a child talking! All charges should be dropped and the police officers suspended!

In 1775, there would have been a large number of parents, marching in an organized way, to the home of that superintendent, to make clear that he had until sunup to arrange his affairs and make a one-way trip out of town.

Today, the parents can't drag their fat arses away from the television.

I'd go to the march in an instant. Even if it was hours away.
