@Disciple: MamaBear pretty much summed it up. I will add that Muslims, specifically, I simply do not trust to champion the concept of free will. It's not in their doctrine. If the Muslim in question is devout, then I have no faith that he would be tolerant of other religions. On the other hand, if he's not too devout, I'd expect him to be rather wishy-washy.
As to voting for Atheists, Buddhists, etc., that would depend, entirely, on how he lines up with my views in general.
There are a few things in which I hold moral objections, but can find no legal fault. And that's the challenge; being able to seperate one's legal and moral objections, and finding the wisdom to see the difference.
