Ruger 1911 .45 ACP

Post by Snakester »

I've been hoarding .45 acp ammo for awhile now. Also traded 4 single shot 12 gauges and an old Mossberg bolt action 20 gauge for 3,000 rds. of .45 Colt/.45acp. Not having anything to shoot the acp , I have been looking and researching my options...I got to shoot a Ruger 1911 today and being a big Ruger Fan , I was pleasantly impressed. We shot about 300 rds. of Tula steel cased and about 60 rds. of Remington...Both shot great. I would be really interested in any Pro's and Con's !!!

You're only gonna get pros from me. It is an amazing 1911. You cannot go wrong with the SR1911. It is by far my favorite handgun. The only thing I did was change out the black parts to match the gun. Here is a pic of mine. Buy with confidence.

No , I haven't purchased yet. My gun dealer buddy is working on a couple .45's that may be available soon. He always comes up with great deals given enough time.

+1

I like the SR1911 at least as well and in some cases better than several other more expensive, "higher end" 1911s I could name.

I purchased one about a month and a half ago. Amazing! The SR1911 rocks and is my pistol of choice now.

It shoots great and has been 100% so far. Need to put some night sights on it but besides that she is good to go!
