Reloads

I was recently informed by a Moderator (Thanx) that I could not sell reloads without a license. He removed my post before I got myself in trouble (thanx again) which I appreciate. My question would be that if I cannot sell the reloads (500 rounds of 9mm), can they be traded for something I might be interested in? Thanx for any info!

No.

You can't exchange loaded ammo you've made for anything of value without having a FFL for ammo manufacturing.

Find a friend with the same caliber and go have fun at the range. Think how much fun it will be to fire a bunch and not worry that you are wasting money and have to replace it with overpriced current stock.

Well from what I have read on other forums, you can apparently sell them as "reloading components". You would draft up something and have you and the buyer sign it agreeing that they will not fire them.

That being said, if he injures himself while shooting them, I'm not sure how legally binding that paper is.

It's not just a liability problem. The BATFE regulates and taxes ammo manufacturers as jdonovan said.

Disassemble them and sell as components, give them away (still a potential liability problem), or shoot them in a friends gun.
