New from MA, might be transplanting to VA this yr

Post by minininjer »

Hi everyone, my name is Cindy :wave: I hear this is the place to be so I signed up.

I currently live in Massachusetts. I've been shooting for over a year now so still pretty new to firearms. I might be moving down this summer to the Northern VA area where my husband lives.

Other than guns, my other interests include martial arts, photography, and video games. I've studied Taekwondo for over 10 years and hold a "Master" title in that. I work on websites professionally.

I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.

As a former Masshole, I welcome you with open arms...

I got out of there in 1991 and have only been back for a few family visits...

I expect a few funerals in the near future...then I'll probably not go back again...

Thank you for all of the warm welcomes!

I believe the EBR in my avatar picture is an AR-10. It belongs to my friend so I don't have more info on it.

Welcome fellow NESer. I'm Ol Doc on NES. Moved down to VA in January from MA and I love it. You will be blown away the first time you go to the large Gun show in Chantilly. 1000 tables and more scary rifles and NFA stuff than you could imagine. (Last time I was there was on a visit here last summer so things might have changed post Newtown though :dunno: )

Hi there! //does the NES handshake //

I have actually been to VA many times over the last several years. And I have been to the Nation's Gun Show at the Dulles Expo a couple times (before Newtown) and have been to others in Winchester (where my in laws live). And yeah, I was completely blown away!

I was down there last for Christmas.... so I did get to go to the show just after Newtown happened. It was ridiculous as I'm sure you know.... wait in line, no where to park, etc.

Welcome girl. Just be sure that when you move you don't get bumped into Maryland across the river. The Potomac separates heaven from hell.

Cindy;
Northern Virginia is a half way house for those who are escaping the north eastern insanity. Once you get acclimated to Northern Virginia come south of Fredricksburg and you can see the real Virginia, mostly unsoiled by the federal government and it's drones.

Actually, I won't be at that rally. I will be in VA! Looking at a new construction townhouse unit that we're likely going to put a deposit on.

Even better, soon your days of pre-ban mags and finger print scans for purchases will be over! Congrats again!
