I'm looking for a carbine-length railed handguard to replace the tubular aluminum forend on my LR-308. All the free-float units appear to be around the same cost, give or take. The DPMS quad-rail is $180 and the couple aftermarket units I've seen tend to go up from there.
Does anyone have experience with Troy Industries parts? I'm looking at the Troy BattleRail TRX-308 7.2″ http://troyind.com/%20/rail-systemsacce ... rx-308-7-2. I want solid and worth the effort of mounting this to my gun.
Any recommendations? Thanks.

I have a Troy rail on one of my ARs, it's a solid bit of kit. Troy makes good stuff.

I don't have the rail in question, but I do have other Troy products and they are solid. I have seen that rail on an AR15 though and it was nice.
