I know right? I was so pleasantly surprised. I really have no intention of putting a lot on it. Just a sling, new butt stock and husband was talking about a light, so that if we need it in the middle of the night, but that is low on the list. Butt and sling first.Snakester wrote:TacticalMom wrote:Sounds like you had a blast Snakester. I love my Maverick 88. Its an fantastic gun and did not cost a fortune.
I will tell you Tanya, There is nothing I can think of to say bad about The 88. Preforms as good as any I've seen. Loads smooth and ejects every time. I shot one today that was bare bones...no frills and one that had every option available. I can see that you will get years of use out of it. I wouldn't put too many accessories on it because it will get pretty heavy and does make it a little hard to handle.

Awesome... Glad they found something they liked.Snakester wrote:Bill also took Joe's advice. Bill and his wife, Jane went to Dick's and purchased a Maverick 88 - 12ga. and a Remngton 870 Youth 20 ga. Jane said the youth model fit her better than full size shot gun. Her being only 5' tall and about 100 lbs. I think maybe a smart choice. They also bought a Gun Safe and some shells and joined the NRA. Jane's parents live in Amelia so they have a place to Shoot. It's great to see somebody else jump in with both feet !!!
