Buffalo Wild Wings refuses to serve off-duty cops carrying

So Buffalo Wild Wings in Manassas apparently has a "no guns" police, and a server refused to wait on two plainclothes or offduty (not clear which) cops who were openly carrying. Kudos to the server for continuing to enforce the store policy even when the two displayed their badges, but the restaurant quickly backpedaled and said that cops are excepted.

Because they're better than the rest of us, of course.

This is just plain crazy...The server was just doing her job, but why do the police get exempted???

If they are off duty they are no different then the rest of us. I have never stepped into one and never will because of their "policy ".

Police, at least for the majority I've seen, seem to have a feeling that they are above the law. That's whether parking their cruisers in no parking zones, cutting motorists off, or just being plain asses. It disgusts me as a FLEO who tries my best on and "off" duty to keep my bearings straight.

One day I'll get real tired of it and give em a piece of my mind while in uniform.

I don't know how it is for Virginia LEOs but my brother in the NYPD is mandated even when off duty to carry a side arm and can be disciplined if they find out he isn't (the one exception being if he is engaging in alcohol comsupmption then he can be fired for carrying one) carrying regularly. So if the same holds true here in Virginia it is very limiting to the polcie if they aren't exempted when they don't have the choice to not carry. Then again I do not know if it is the same.
