I have also done the internet dating thing. I put it right there in the open that I like guns. I've been with my current for over a year, now. We met online.

Try datehookup.com. You can search for women who like guns, and it's free.

Just remember that the internet is filled with crazy people.

Sounds like you saved yourself a lot of time and hassle by putting it out there. Just remember, you only need one match so you can afford to be picky.

wasn't there something in the news not too long ago about a survivalist dating website? Find that and you might find more women that like guns. Probably with a few other skills too like being able to cook a good meal from scratch.

Rule 1 when I started dating someone "Do you shoot?" if the answer was "NO!" with a repulsed response, the date was over quick, nice hug, and away I went.

If it was "no, but i want to learn?" Yeeeeeahhhh. That's a keeper.

And if the answer is "YEP! I have a gun safe full that I have been collecting for awhile."

She ain't single, and her Boyfriend/Husband has access, and it ain't worth gettin' yer winkie capped off because she's cattin' around.

You can improve the odds on match.com by selecting Conservative under poitical views and marking it as Very Important. Conservative women generally are good with firearms. It also helps to remember that they are selling themselves to you as much as you are to them. You are not a supplicant looking for a piece...you are a human looking for a partner.

Honestly have yet to find anyone female or otherwise to be completely repulsed and never want to talk to me because they found out I love guns. Anyone seriously like that is mostly not the person your looking for and you can consider it some time saved.

Be careful about who you end up with, even if she likes guns now, make sure she is a shooter and wiling to except it for life. I was one of only a couple hundred people who carried a gun in our home state. When my wife and I met, she thought is was so cool and loved the bad-boy persona that went with the rest of my youthful, rebellious attitude.

Now... 22 years later... she hates guns; doesn't want me to own guns; can't stand that I carry everywhere I go; doesn't like that I taught our son to shoot; doesn't like that I bought him his own rifle and bitches about it every time I go to the range.

It's too bad for her. She knew about it long before we got married. LOL Still get sick of hearing it though.

My girl likes me to carry, especially in Richmond or Newport News. Recently, as a matter of fact, we had occasion to be in Richmond with a large amount of cash. She made sure I had my gun AND the pitbull. I really need to get that woman her own gun, lol.

I would not even bring it up until the time presents itself. In that case it sounded something like this:
--
"What did you guys wind up doing this weekend?"

"Oh I went to a pistol range with Rob, then went and ate some junkfood."

Oh, I didn't know you go to the range, do you have a gun?

Yeah, once and awhile we go out and shoot and then get some bbq afterwards. We call it man-date sundays...

You guys are too funny! Can you show me how to shoot sometime?

Sure.
---

It is much easier to bring it up in context after you get to know someone rather than when you meet them outright. If you bring it up in more offhandedly its a bit more digestible than "Hey this is my bedroom want to see my guns?" As far as the online thing, I have no clue but don't list it on the things you like to do in your free time either. Say something more general like "spending time outdoors". The rule of thumb is generally if you talk about something like you love it, she's going to think you love it and pay it a lot of attention. If you talk about something casually like it isn't a big deal, that's the same reaction she is going to give you. Women generally do not care for your cool new EoTech or how much time you spent waiting for a background check the other day. That's why you have the VGOF, we care about that stuff, they do not.

Dating is such a drag, which is why I don't. Plus i'm totally terrible at picking up signals from others, heck it took another person telling me someone was hitting on me for me to get it. I swear it would take someone walking up and slapping me for me to get it! I guess I'm just content, so I don't look.

But I am very complicated so just because I'm not looking doesn't mean I'm not interested, same as just because I'm gay doesn't mean I wouldn't go the other way. It would just take someone very specific under a specific situation.

So yeah unless love is out to get me I'll be content with my guns and my pets, neither of which will anyone ever convence me to part with.

If it was as easy to part with ammo you didn't really need as with a similarly situated woman, or if it cost even nearly as much to keep ammo that you weren't using (I KNOW I'm going to catch hell for saying THAT) as it does a woman, there WOULD be as much ammo out there as women. :hysterical:

And, by the way, I'm just talking to hear my head rattle on this one. SWMBO's been around for goin' on 43 years now and I'm going to keep her 'till she's plumb wore out, I reckon. Wouldn't trade her for a boxcar load of .45 ACP.

Let's be honest, most of us (I SAID "MOST", NOT "ALL") can be spotted as gun owners in a heartbeat. If she's unable to notice? That lack of observation counts against her!

How is she supposed to spot a deer, or turkey, if she cannot spot a "redneck". :bangin:

Heck! We're the easiest species to SPOT fer crissakes! Not like snipe.

Geez,
I'm not sure I would date a guy who DIDN'T sport a nice bulge in his pants. At 3 o'clock, that is. Get your minds out of the gutter! ROFL
