I was thinking about it, but decided not too. I don't feel like standing in long lines just to get in and see a bunch of half empty tables with product at inflated prices. If you need something then go, but the law of diminishing returns definitely applies here if you already have some stuff.

I went to the Hampton show on Friday, prices were still crazy but seemed to be better than the last Hampton show. Doors opened at 4 and I arrived around 5. Line was long but moved quickly, I was in the door in less than 20 minutes.

There were plenty of AR's to be had but prices were still to high for me! The usual ammo tables weren't there, the one large table that was selling ammo was a mad house so I did not attempt to fight the crowd. I did see a few boxes of CCI.22lr that they guy wanted $80 for a brick of 500 rounds. No Thank You, Sir.

Also plenty of Glocks around and prices seemed to be normal, but not a Glock guy so I could be wrong.

PMAGS were still ridiculous, I saw them a several tables and ranged from $25-$45 each.

I went today, and it was quite a bit less of people/vendors than last month. Not much selection, and ammo is still way. too. high. Biggest waste of 10$ since I moved here.

I did see more availability of AR's as posted by others. Hopefully the AR panic buying is coming to and end. I just wish the ammo/magazine buying would subside. Would LOVE to purchase a simple 6rd mag for my EDC (Kahr CM9) at a reasonable price...

I went on Saturday with SWMBO and MIL. For those of you who were also there, I was the one pushing around an older lady in a wheelchair, with a rolling luggage bag in tow; if I ran you over and checked you into a table, sorry 'bout that!

At any rate, concur with your general assessment. Significantly larger than the previous VB event; but everything was still ridiculously high.

I did find a M&P 15-22 for $459. It'll be my little girl's first rifle. SWMBO and MIL ended up buying a bunch of non-gun stuff, too (t-shirts, etc).

Saw BX-25 mags for $90! I don't think the lady at the table took to our laughing hysterically very lightly, but that's what you get for believing somebody would pay that. FWIW, those were running $55-60, with Butler Creek 10/22 mags running a bit less.

I worked the Richmond Show, only thing I got was a replacement knife for the woman in Purple (Kershaw, Ken Onion, Leek...in Purple. )

The only thing I can say about RIR shows, now that Showplace shows are done. The food is better. Expensive, but better.

I helped Tom Jarrett find some knives, helped a couple of Senior ladies find some .38 Special ammo, helped someone else find some knives.

Found out Philip Van Cleave is gonna be on the DAILY SHOW!?!? :bangin:

Now, I saw the prices are starting to come down, and people are breathing a bit easier, GEAR can be had, but AMMO? You're ice-skating uphill friend!
