Obama in our Classrooms Now
Here's an article from Fox about obama's upcoming address to our children. I strongly recommend you click the link in the article to the .gov website (also posted below) and see what the head their is urging schools to do. Also, take a look at the classroom activities link on that page. It looks like it he cant indoctrinate us he's going to try and indoctrinate our children.

Re: Obama in our Classrooms Now
Very sad when he uses this sort of thing disguised as encouragment,, It;s probably the last audience that will listen ande not for long,, ,,,Everyone else has figured out the fairy tales are just that . Fairy Tales with no basis in truth. Maybe he;s thinking the kids can get their parents to support his nonsense under the guise of "Do it for the children" An overused and outdated call to further BS political agendas on all fronts, I like to tell politicians,, Children don;t run the world,, Adults do!! Try talking to me. I pay the freight ,,I want to take the ride!!

I wonder how many parents have been notified that this will be used as a "teaching" opportunity in their child's class that day. Mine are all out of school now but if they were still attending school I think they'd be ill that day. For those in this area it would be a good day for a trip to a museum, the National Firearms Museum would be a good place to start.

The dear leader will impart his wisdom to the kiddies.
And these ed administrators are probably drooling all over themselves. I'm sure they would do the same for Reagan or Bush.

Maybe but the big difference is most of our educators by far tend to be liberals and not conservatives.SELFDEFENSE wrote:The dear leader will impart his wisdom to the kiddies.

If I had kids in school I would be furious. I would definately have my child out of school that day, I would not want him/her getting in trouble for speaking out about things during the lesson.

Re: Obama in our Classrooms Now
I'm seriously considering not sending my kids to school on Tuesday and letting Wednesday be their first day of school.
Re: Obama in our Classrooms Now
Don't you have a choice of them "opting out"? My 4 year old grandson is going to have Obama in his classroom but he will NOT be watching that idiot. My daughter took my advice and he's going to something else.allingeneral wrote:I'm seriously considering not sending my kids to school on Tuesday and letting Wednesday be their first day of school.

A call to the school might be in order. "I think my children have the flu."

Re: Obama in our Classrooms Now
My oldest in high school said that they didn't show it. Not sure about my elementary kids.
Re: Obama in our Classrooms Now
My Daughter is out of school now but was still upset by this attempt at indoc. I believe that as long as we teach our kids the difference between right and wrong they will be able to weed out the B.S. It may require some after school discussion to fill in some intentional blanks but it's up to us to do this for our kids. Failing that we are going to get a lot more of this...
