Ineptitude.

Post by Reverenddel »

(climbs on soapbox)

You know? I deal with a multitude of companies, and government entities in my career. I have found a great increase in inept individuals that make three questions come to mind:

1.) Are we promoting by POLITICS, instead of PERFORMANCE?
2.) When did backstabbing become acceptable as a way to move up?
3.) How long does my sanity last in such an environment?

I am a Powerball Lotto Jackpot away from just walking away from it all, heading to a spot of land where I-64, and I-81 meet, going into the hills, and becoming the "Wood Booger Whisperer."

I feel your pain....I am a reformed Druid and will take to worshiping small bushes to get away from the politics.
You know why there's a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.

At this point?

The movie "Idiocracy" just seems more like a DOCUMENTARY! I'm just seeing very effective LEO's getting passed over for inept morons that are brown nosers, who get HIGH PROFILE stuff, but they're not working the grinding daily stuff.

Ditto in Corporations, I have some REEEEAALLLYYYY good contacts with other banks, some for a decade, and they're in the same position. Yet? Their bosses change.

There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, in the end, 'Thy will be done.'

Its the same way everywhere. Competence is not as important as agreeing with the boss and not making waves. When you work with/around someone who won't/can't do the job you're just supposed to keep your mouth shut and do their work for them so the boss doesn't have to boss.

I retire in a couple of years. I won't miss it a bit.

I concur with the JohnWayne quote "There's Right, and there's wrong. And if you do right, you're alive, and if you do wrong? Yer dead inside."

Carlin lost me when he went all "OWS".
