Presidents Fiscal Cliff Speech

Post by VACoastie »

I don't know how many of you caught the speech. I can't begin to describe how utterly floored I am about this non-sense. The Libtards in the crowd LAUGHED when Mr. President said that Congress will take every second they need to pass this thing? Wake the F up! THAT'S CALLED PROCRASTINATION! :bangin:  Are your tax dollars going to pay for lazy old farts sitting in D.C.? So freaking funny isn't it...

Then the President made a comment that he's "Hopeful" that the issue will be settled and that congress can "get it done." Look man... it's a fact that this was known to come to light YEARS ago. It's called a due date. Even responsible parents set themselves up for success and don't wait til the last minute to get everything for an arriving baby. Congress waited til 1-2 months before this thing is due to get rolling on fixing the issue. A major What the F in my book.

How can so many people be so lack-luster with this issue? It's disgusting. I'll go out tonight and enjoy myself with more than a few drinks and enjoy time with my wife and friends. It could be the last night I'll have enough money in my pocket to do so. Once I have coffee in my system tomorrow to wake me up and a gatorade to fight off a slight hangover I may get, angry letters are getting sent to these lazy bums.

And yet the American people re-elected the whole bunch of them. The least productive Congress in history.

We get the Congress that we deserve.

I watched about 5 minutes ...That's 4 minutes longer than I have ever watched obumma speak. When he doesn't appear Presidential and always wants to be a comedian , I just can't stand to watch him. He was speaking on such a serious matter to so many Americans , but seemed to be more interested in making all of his groupies laugh !

We need term limits for Congress.

I propose a 2 term limit for the Senate, and 5 term limit for the House.

If you've been elected to the House and served more than 3 terms, you are barred from running for Senate.

Hey Michelle Obama.

For the second time in my adult life I am ashamed to be an american. Well not really but I am ashamed of who america voted for ( since losers who dont contribute can vote)

I think the deal gives $41 dollars in taxes for every $1 they cut and they extended unemployment for another year. Who the hell heard of unemployment for three years? They are just trying to create more dependency. This has gone from unemployment to more federal welfare and is pathetic.

Similar to the food stamp announcement. As if having the historical largest number of recipients under one's administration is something to be proud of.

And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!

It is something to be proud of if you are trying to ruin America.

You know what is funny? The same agency that handles food stamps also manages our national parks puts signs up that says
"please don't feed the wild animals. They might get lazy if feed by you and not look for food on their own"

Ok. is it not fair then to think people who are fed by the taxpayer might not look for food of their own?

Ok, I have to come in on this. When I was growing up my parents worked two jobs. I didn't see them much except Sundays for church and Sunday dinner. They did everything to provide for us. One of the most embarrassing things my Mom said she did was sign up for welfare. She was ashamed to pay for it in that way.

I'm just saying that if push came to shove I would do it too make ends meet for my kids.

I do understand that not everybody is like that (where it is actually needed). Just playing devil's advocate a bit.
