Any body hear about this?

I googled it to see if it was mentioned on any of the main stream media outlets, but of course it isn't. It is on a bunch of the right and left wing news outlets, like the Huffington post, conservative news central, Etc.

Re: The National Concealed Carry And Mass Murder Prevention Act
This is a horrible bill. The federal government has no right, and no business, imposing itself with psychological testing and a whole bunch of invasive investigations and expensive training mandates that restrict the right to keep and bear arms that we already have under the Constitution. How does the right to carry for the purpose of defending others differ from the right to carry in self-defense? The correct answer is, it doesn't.
This bill is not a "compromise". It is the camel's nose under the tent to massively, and unconstitutionally, expand the federal government's power over individual citizens. Its authors either didn't think about it for more than 5 seconds before proposing it, or they are part of the antigun conspiracy.

I like some of it. Like the part about being exempt from civil lilability and being able to carry anywhere. The rest of it pretty much sucks.

I don't see a House or Senate Bill #. Is this just fluff that somebody is using to stir things up?

OK, no H or S number, no sponsor. I gotta call BS until someone in DC claims it.
