This is a Barrett M82A1. I bought it just after the last election and have sent 80 rounds through it so far. I've been trying to buy as much ammo as I can for it, it's in short supply by me (currently still in Vermont). Ordered a case of APIT online but they are backed up by several weeks.

I shot a Barrett (M99, if I remember correctly) a couple of times at one of our shoot and greets a couple of years ago. It was a monster! I need a .50 cal like nobody's business. (well, everyone needs one, I think)

So far the longest range I have access to is 200 yds, but hope to do much better soon.

Why would anyone need that gun? O.o I've been around someone shooting one at a range when I was 12 and I think my ears just stopped ringing last week.

It's a nice gun to be sure though.

The semi-auto Barretts are about 2MOA guns. Remember, their intended purpose is not extreme accuracy.
