Many parents no longer do that because the libs have made it child abuse and punishment for wrong doing might hurt their feelings. Obviously, Kaine is a fine example...davasmith wrote:Well when we were young'ns didn't our parents spank us for lying? It was physical pain that changed our ways, not a love letter or email or post cards or a stiff talking to. Did we not learn anything from OUR past? Thanks all. emailed him. I changed it up some and mixed in the budget with the 2nd amendment issues, mostly to see if I get a canned response or not (plus I may not have a job in March if they don't pass a budget). I think gov should focus on passing an actual budget vice wasting time on strengthening gun laws. But we know Kaine is so far up Barry's and Joe's buttocks, he won't hear me or anyone else for that matter.

Good luck changing the tide. The 2012 senate election map speaks volumes.

I hated Lil' Timmy Boy as mayor, hated him as governor, and hate him as my senator (spits)
He's a liar, a deceiver, and more importantly, the smuggest sonofbitch I have ever met in my life.

Re: Another jerk off Senator
I know I'm an FNG here but ANYONE that voted for Tim Kaine should have known that he was nothing more than a lap dog for Obama.
Come on, the guy all but abandoned his duties as governor the last 18 months he was in office.
I heard a lot of people say that Webb was a "moderate" but he wasn't.
I didn't vote for Mark Warner either. If anything (AWB, UBC, magazine ban etc.) comes to the Senate floor for a vote and he is a "Yes" vote I will expend time and treasure to see that he isn't reelected.

Re: Another jerk off Senator
Allens campaign was weak and WE let the low lifes get out in force to elect the useless POS that is there now...All we can do ,seeing we do not have recall here in VA is do our damn best to see he gets nothing passed and no support irregardless of what it is..

Re: Another jerk off Senator
It is truly embarrassing we are being represented by such yellow bellied dirtbags. E-mails are too easy for them to reply to. Phone calls and snail mail will draw more attention by requiring more time of their staff to give us the same BS Reply. It isn't much, but it is all we have right now.

The VA GOP is as much to blame as the Voters...
If they stopped rehashing the same old same old... we'd might get somewhere!

Re: Another jerk off Senator
The GOP in general needs a solid kick in the ass,,,WE do not want the PC leaning bull they are heading towards and their Good Old Boy network has to be put to rest. Bob Dole, McCain.Romney,,3 losers in a row based on whose turn it was, The Tea Party may do a lot better seperating itself entirely from them.

Re: Another jerk off Senator
Kaine was the democratic national commitee chairperson for the last four years. Why would anybody think he is pro gun regardless of the lying and pandering he does to stay in power? jeez wake up and smell the coffee. Kaine is on par with the worst of the worst when it comes to lying for votes

NO gun control, including universal background checks!
I understand that in the wake of recent events that you feel that you and the federal government must do something about the unfortunate tragedies that have happened at the Sandy Hook elementary school, but the simple fact is that this and all of the previous tragedies were not caused by the weapons used, but by the individual. The one thing in common with all the recent tragedies is that the individual’s mental stability was impaired (I am no doctor). This is the true issue that needs to be addressed; not imposing more controls over an already well regulated process.
I would strongly urge you to focus on the mental issues and OPPOSE all gun-control bills, including, but not limited to, those which institute universal background checks, magazine bans or restrictions, or bans or restrictions on so-called assault weapons.
Universal background checks would allow the government to create a de facto gun registration list, which could then be used for future confiscations like those seen in California in the 1990s. The government should never know what guns a citizen has in his or her possession. A vote for universal background checks is a vote for gun control that is particularly dangerous to our liberties.
Modern semi-automatic rifles (so called "Assault weapons") and their magazines are exactly the kind of items that the Second Amendment protects. A vote to ban or restrict either is a vote against our own Bill of Rights.
Let me know how you are going to vote on gun-control bills that institute universal background checks or that ban or restrict either so called "assault weapons" or their magazines.
Respectfully
Vern Waltman
