My name is Mark, and I came to this forum to learn more about owning weapons in VA, and how to be a responsible owner/user.
I bought my first handgun, a Springfield XD9 last summer, and immediatly became interested in fine weaponry. I have a small manufacturing business where I make custom tractor parts, so a finely engineered pistol just fascinates me. My second pistol is an Iver Johnson Model 57 target 22 that my great aunt owned, and I just bought a Sig P238 today, for carry purposes.
I am an associate pastor (3/4 time) at a local Mennonite church, and the tractor business fills in the gaps. I value human life very highly, and have no desire to hurt another person. But, I do believe in the responsibility to protect my family and the innocent, which is why I chose to own and carry a handgun. I have a concealed carry permit.
I look forward to learning from this forum, as well as contributing what I have to offer.
Mark

Welcome! Gotta love tractors. I don't think I can go a day without my little tractor; it's saved my bacon so many times. LOL
And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!

It is exactly because we value human life so highly that we desire to protect it from those who do not value it. You're in good company here and pretty much any gun forum with that statement.hodge wrote:I value human life very highly, and have no desire to hurt another person.
