Good Morning All,

While not new to guns, I'm new to gun ownership. First significant exposure to guns was in college, where I spent a summer cleaning & shooting 1911 five days a week. Given that experience, the 1911 will always be a favorite of mine (though I don't own one yet).

Many moons later, I'm in the Navy and plan to continue until told to grow up and go home. I've spent the last several years in Virginia, having just moved from the Woodbridge Area after two DC tours to Virginia Beach. Thanks to the modern wonders of satellites, I'm actually writing this first post from out at sea!

I wish I had known about this site sooner - always a pleasure to discuss thoughts and ideas with like-minded folks, as well as ideas and thoughts of not-so-like minded folks. I'm really looking forward to learning and interacting with everybody here!
