More media bias...
The media certainly made sure this little get together of anti gun know nothings got some air time....http://news.yahoo.com/thousands-march-g ... 06917.html A notewortyh participants ramblings. "James Agenbroad, 78, of Garrett Park, Md., carried a handwritten sign on cardboard that read "Repeal the 2nd Amendment. " He called it the only way to stop mass killings because he thinks the Supreme Court will strike down any other restrictions on guns." This is the mind set of an idiot and what we are dealing with.. The "assult weapon is the target that htese misguided jackasses have focused on while completely ignoring the true issue...Never changes does it??

Re: More media bias...
Nope, and I responded with
THOUSANDS MARCH FOR GUN CONTROL IN WASHINGTON...
And millions stand against them everywhere else.
Some asshat decided to pull some craptastic stat from the Anti-gun groups. I countered with "Cite your references with websites, and page numbers."
Then proceed to tear his argument to pieces using the 2011 UCR from the FBI. The more we CHALLENGE them, and CITE REFERENCES, the QUIETER THEY GET!

You know why there's a Second Amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one.

Re: More media bias...
I'm not sure if it's media bias (surprisingly) since there was good coverage online, in print, and on TV last week.
It does emphasize the kind of person on the other side of the argument. The kind of person that doesn't want to take on the personal responsibility or self-reliance of providing their own protection. The kind of person that would rather rely on more government "solutions" through bans and more legislation that will ultimately not accomplish what they are really looking for - an end to the killing.
There are a lot of people there that talk about how horrible gun violence is. I get that. All violence is horrible. I just choose to employ a strategy that requires more involvement from the community (like more legally armed civilians) instead of an "auto-pilot" solution like getting rid of all weapons.
And to the people that say "repeal the 2nd amendment - they did it with prohibition" - the same people that wanted their liquor also want their guns so that ain't happening!

The media will automatically give them the run of the board. This isn't a game.
When it comes to numbers, we're all freaking out enough that we SHOULD have them. There were only a couple hundred at the protest in Richmond. Let's nail it this Feb 8th. I'll be there.

Meanwhile, millions turned up at pro gun rallies the week before.

It is times like this that I am proud that I turned my former Democrat Massachusetts anti-gun wife into a gun supporting conservative.
You just have to marry one to turn them.
