What I have built in the last year or so

I love building AR15's. Next couple will be pistols as I now live in VA and can build them! I love this state!
I have and will continue to stand ready to engage and destroy the enemy (Islamic terrorists) on their own turf so my children can be free and unafraid.

Nice selection of AR's you have there. I haven't gotten into building AR's yet but it's something I'd like to do one day.

Very nice!! I've never built an AR. Just love to drool over those built by others...

I would like to put together a nice bolt action target rifle one day though. .223 or .308 maybe with a nice heavy barrel. Too many other things going on right now and no place convenient to shoot one anyway.
No more catchy slogans for me...I am simply fed up...4...four...4...2+2...

Thanks! If you ever want to put one together just let me know I can walk you through the process. It is really much easier than it looks. I can put one together right now for around 700 to 750 depending on what parts are used to build it.

Bolt guns are sometimes better purchased together as far as price goes. But good luck on the build when you get around to it. Thanks for looking and posting!

You are so right about not having anywhere convenient to shoot a rifle. I would love to find a range that allows you to shoot out to about 400 yards. Oh well I don't have a rifle for that yet but I could buy one.

Quantico has two long ranges but the problem is they have to be open. Evidently a certified RSO has to sign for and coordinate logistics for each range. The most popular by far is trap and skeet which I dont do.

Hope you hit the lottery and then go and buy you a piece of land. Believe me if I was to hit it I've already picked out my 10k acre spread in Texas and Arizona and a smaller one here in VA....VGOF/VCDL shooters onry....we can only hope that happens soon

Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club near Charlottesville has a 300 yard range, if you're willing to travel to C'ville. Check them out at:

ReconDoc, the rifle fires a 5.7x28mm round. The magazine sits on the top of the rifle (50 rounds) and is ejected through the magazine well. very cool round for CQC.

Sounds British --the round slightly bigger than our 5.56 x45 but shorter.I see the CQC, but how would it react to layin on your belly in the mud ?

The 5.7x28 was developed by FN with the application of being able to defeat body armor due to its high velocity. I am not really sure who uses it today on the military side of the house. I know there are some European police departments that use the round because it is both a pistol and carbine round. FN is the only maker of the pistol that uses this round and there are some variations of rifles around. To be honest with you I only bought it because I thought is looked cool and got a really good deal on the upper and magazines. I will shoot my 5.45 a lot more because it is much cheaper to shoot. (plus I think it would jam in the mud)
