Any .50 BMG shooters here?

Just when we thought we had a new place to shoot, PNTC sends out an email to members about 2 weeks ago notifying them "they could not longer support .50 BMG. Just like that. What a pisser!!!
So now I'm looking for about 10 serious .50BMG shooters who are serious about their shooting & have available $$$ to lease property for shooting the big bores. Specifically .50BMG and other large bore weapons. I have a .50 BMG proof target frame to hang steel targets and can make more at my shop. What would be desirable is mountain property for a backstop with a minimum clear 500 yd shot. 1000 would be preferable of course. I am in Prince William Co. I would be willing to drive as far as Harrisonburg, anywhere along 81 S. Anyone interested?

I've been contemplating such an endeavor for a while. I have a large parcel near Winchester which is also amazing for hunting. Roads getting in are really tough (think Afghanistan). This is as deep in the mountains as you can get and its mix pasture and thick forest. It would be really nice to have some help to maintain/develop it. I have a Cat D7R so someone with experience is a huge plus... I can't do it all myself. I currently have lots of trails cleared for hiking/ATV/Snowmobile with 4 Larue powered 50 cal targets for shoot and move fun. For 50 cal I have the Larue's off trail with higher ground as a backstop. Its a lot more fun then shooting at the same target on a commercial range. I would love to acquire more Larue's but those targets are pricey so, having someone who can fabricate more (powered or not) is an incentive. Anyone with cabin making experience is also a plus. I have a 600 yard run and 50 yard cleared with 20 foot berms, not that they're needed. I follow EPA range guidelines to protect the land so that's why. I guess it would depend on who you are or the group for responsibility factors. When I say deep in the mountains I mean deep, deep, deep in.

My vision is to one day open a private hunting club/business or range/camping/cabin type experience offering something different as a short getaway for the area sportsman.

I've got a sawmill, so if you've got logs, I can turn them into cabin makings...

right now, Fauquier county. But its towable, so I can take it to the logs.

Pricing can be flexible, either an hourly charge, or more commonly a $0.35/board-foot. Once the price of access to the range is established, we can work out the right trade of cut wood to membership time... always willing to work on barter.

The machine I have can produce 500-750 ft per hour with a supply of good logs, and willing labor. I really can't price match the local big box store on 2x4, or 2x6 type materials, but once we get into larger stock, 2x8 and larger, or beams then I can be well priced. Also if these were trees you were taking down anyway, making lumber out of them also saves you on having to pay disposal fees for the tree. With Sandy, and all the trees she knocked over, the firewood market is VERY soft in the area right now... so there is little money there.

I don't have a way to haul big timber to a saw mill and paying someone who does is costly. I'm not interested in selling firewood either.

I had tons of trees I pushed over, these guys were so large it wasn't worth cutting up except in 40' halves and then pushing them in piles. I then burned them last spring...that was the most economical disposal.

I'm all about sustainable products and with lots of high quality timber, I'd like to use the wood that's there. A while back, a used heavy machine site I follow had an older Timber King for sale. I don't know if the brand is any good but I seriously considered buying it. I passed but probably shouldn't have, the seller was highly motivated.
