Does anyone believe that writing your local congressmen work?

I get that stupid auto-generated / prepared by speech-writer / rubber-stamp signed letters that lead me to believe that the receipt of my letter fell to some poor aide that had to enter my name and address into a computer system database with a certain subject flagged, which in turn whips out the auto-bot letter.

Almost like an out-o-office email...

I've written a lot of letters and not once have I ever received a true personal letter or phone call.
If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.

You're probably never going to get a personalized letter. My understanding is that they note your preference or objection as part of demographics. Depending upon what kind of communication (email vs postal letter), your view can represent a different number of voters. But that's what I understand and don't know if it's a fact.
And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!

Shut down by the GOP establishment, unfortunately. Otherwise he'd have still been a Republican and would've beaten Obama/Biden.
