HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, so, I have a taurus milennium pro subcompact .45, i took it apart to clean it, when reassembling it the slide went back in place fine, but it will not pull fully to the rear and it will not pull forwards to come off again... what the hell did I do?

We must arm ourselves...to the teeth.

Re: HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you make sure the barrel was fully forward before inserting the slide catch? See if you can get the catch back out and work from there.
I was also going to ask about the CLP too, but thought I'd give you a couple days before starting to rag on ya...

I find it to be Theraputic ...and i have gotten to the point where i like the smell of Hopes #9 solvent...
and Zeph is correct, on the PT 145 Mil Pro you must have the barrell in the same position it would be if it were in the correct firing position, slide back, when you re-insert the locking/breadown pin for re-assembly... its a little tricky at first, but once you do it 10 times, you can do it blindfolded...

Be particular, and be vigilant, as the enemy will only attack on two occasions:
When you're ready or when you're not ready.
Also never forget, that everyone who shows up, is not necessarily there to help.

Man I hope not. I did get to run a mag through the PT145 on Saturday and I took it apart last night. It seems to be all there but with a Taurus maybe you never know. I'll know next time I shoot it...Vahunter wrote:I found a spring on my porch and it didn't come out of my XD. Missing one ?zephyp wrote:Well, maybe I'll be asking you for help. How did you like firing it? I personally love mine. Then again, I never could afford the real expensive guns, this taurus is pretty much the best ive ever owned... but its pretty damn nice in my opinion.

Re: HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I only ran one mag through it but found it pleasurable to shoot. I have several other .45s and it seems to have a little less recoil than those. I'll know more this week end. I plan to run it through some paces on the range. I picked it up for my fiance and am relatively pleased so far. The only problem is the spring is quite stiff and she has trouble racking the slide. I wonder if I can find a lighter version?

Re: HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
The spring on mine is stiff as well, making a good pull on the slide a requirement...i believe that this two stage spring has alot to do with the "reduced feeling" recoil...comapred to my other full size .45 (395D Ruger) this kicks less by a noticable amount...and with two hands, you are quickly back on target...
I have had a number of friends fire my PT145, and to a person they all blast a few rounds, stop shooting, hold it up, look at it, and say with a grin "that doesn't kick nearly as hard as i thought it would"...
Overall, i think the pistol looks good, fits in my hand snuggly (i do have a houge slip over grip) the sights are large and easily seen, it is small and compact, i like the thumb saftey (ambi would be nice..but you get what you get..) and with a little practice, easy to manipulate, carries well both CC and OC, holds 10 .45's (!!) for a compact! and, most importantly, it makes a -VERY- satifying BOOM when you pull the trigger... as it is a 2+" barrell, i have not done any real distance shooting with it, but it is DEAD ON at 30 feet and less, and i give it an inch or 2 up at 50 feet...
NO ONE will be running AT YOU when this little puppy is barkin'...garunteed!
ENJOY!!!

So far I like it and was quite pleased with the recoil. I think Young will be able to handle it and racking a slide takes a little practice anyway.

Re: HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree about the slide pull, takes a good stiff tug. I was also suprised at the lack of recoil. This gun is everything i wanted and more for personal protection... and yeah, when you start poppin this pocket cannon, no one with any sense is gonna stick around!
any of you guys fired any +P ammo through it? Thats what I carry for protection, (corbon DX hollowpoint +P) but i have yet to actually fire any through it. Hopefully it wont cause any damage if i have to use it.

No +P...
just 230 gr. FMJ and 180 gr. JHP for me...
the PT seems to love Speer GD and Hornaday TAP ammo, at least that is what seems to run through the fastest without any feedng issues what so ever... $$$ but big grins
