I can't.

I use the PATRIOT Act in my job every day.

I remember because I work with a retire NYPD detective who was in the buildings/wreckage that day.

I can't because I get felt up at the airport because of it.

I remember the lives lost in that field in PA, because some passengers said to the terrorist "POUND SAND! YOU ARE GOING DOWN!"

Don't just remember the politicians, and the bullsh't that comes from their mouths today.

Remember those who did what had to be done, and those who lost their lives.

I will always remember. Seeing the second plane hit the WTC on live TV, the realization that the first one wasn't a Piper Cub or the like, and the full implications of ti being more than one plane and that they were large passenger planes. Someone did this. Academically I knew. My emotions caught up a couple of minutes later when I was telling a coworker about the second plane and what fell upon my shoulders when I said "Bruce, it was a heavy". I can't remember if it was the same day or the next, but a family member of Todd Beamer and I have a common hobby. She put out on the largest email list for the group about the phone calls and what happened on United 93.

I won't forget. I won't forget that the first counterattack in the war on terror was not executed by the US military under the orders of the POTUS or Pentagon. I will remember that it was done by plain everyday Americans who rose above and gave the last thing they could give to stop religious extremist terrorist assholes from executing their plan of destruction.

To those passengers and crew on United 93, to those at the WTC that ran into the malestrom instead of away, and those that responded to the Pentagon attack, I say "Thank you".

I was in Middle School, History Class, Rick Lockhart was my teacher... They wouldn't let us out of class when the bell rung and no one could figure out why. I snuck out to use the "bathroom" and saw the second plane hit from the TV inside the schools office. When I came back in Mr. Lockhart told us: Each generation has a day in which you'll never forget where you were when an event happens. I happened to see him last week while I was back in VA and told him I remembered those words and how true it was.

I remember because on 9/12 my father was called from reserves to Active Duty, and remained that way for 11 years. He missed out on a lot of my growing up due to it, but he did what he had to do - now I do the same because of 9/11.

Never forgotten.

Oh I remember, I remember how those cretins did nothing but kill a few schmucks just going to work. I remember the muslims here celebrating the attack with our own police protecting them from retribution. I remember it giving our government carte blanche to tramble our rights and privacy as they chose.

So yeah I remember it is they that attacked us, but it's our gevernment that did the damage!

Better be glad patriots protect fools too.
There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, in the end, 'Thy will be done.'

I don't foresee anyone forgetting the "What" any time in this lifetime.

It's disturbing that the "Who" gets downplayed.

It's even more distressing that the "Why" gets twisted and misrepresented.
