Re: Question about American Guns tv show
Like I've always said, when I watch fiction, I want it to be presented as fiction.
I couldn't stand "The Real World" back in the 90's, and I don't rightly care for the hundreds of crappy shows that have have since followed it.
I want to see more shows like "Columbo", "A-Team", "Dukes of Hazzard", or the original "Mission Impossible".

I'm sorry my friend, but the television stations have already figured out that you can have just as much airtime with a fraction of the budget by making "reality" shows and I don't see them going back to "the good old days" anytime soon.SHMIV wrote:I want to see more shows like "Columbo", "A-Team", "Dukes of Hazzard", or the original "Mission Impossible".

*sigh* Yeah, I know. Fortunately, "Reality" TV hasn't completely taken over, yet. There's still a couple of detective shows left, and a couple of action shows left.ShotgunBlast wrote:

Re: Question about American Guns tv show
I feel the media masses would rather watch Lizard Lick towing, Operation Repo or South Beach Towing. All the women want Fake Housewives of somewhere, Bachelorette or Kardashian crap. The women reality shows show just how crappy their lives are. They may have money, but in real life these people are a train wreck (except Bethany Frankel, she did make it big). As a kid it was great to live the life of an action star. Just like SHMIV said, those shows everyone knew were shows, but fun to watch. Miami Vice, Airwolf, Knight Rider, Magnum PI, Remington Steele... good quality entertainment. Now we have 16 and Pregnant, girls living at home in a trailer pretending to be dirt poor and stupid, making $500,000 per year and can't stay out of jail!

You and TacticalMom should collaborate on that and make it happen.

Shoot, we should start a new topic dedicated to just cooking/recipes. No politics, no religion, no flames - all cooking (and feedback on the recipes).

I could back that "Recipes" forum, and have the ability to add photos to "brag" about what you cooked!
