The full size Kimber Custom II has Truglo TFO sights. They are AWESOME in daylight, and pretty good at night. The other 2 Kimbers came from the factory with meprolight night sights. They are bright as heck, and the white dots surrounding the vials pick up well in daylight.

The Truglo TFO's under a 40 watt desk light, similar to daylight conditions...

Oooh!!! Let me know how that works on your XDm 40. I'm thinking the same thing.

My Dan Wesson has orange in the rear sight and green in the front, I really like that set up.

Night sights on my Baer TR and laser grips on S & W commander. and will be adding night sights to it.

Like the idea of two different colored inserts.

Can you post a pic? I want to do the same with my XD9, but I cant find a pic of how the contrast looks.
Thanks!

i've been debating whether or not to get night sights on my g19, at first i didn't like the factory goal post sights but after some practice i've gotten used to it but i think i may have been swayed toward getting night sights after all.

Anyone use the XS? Opinions?
I have a set on my G30. I like them but they are a different system than 'standard' pistol sights and some people can't get use to them. My advice would be to find an XS equipped gun to shoot before you spend the money on something that may not be suitable for your situation.

I had Tru Glo's installed on my Glock 17. They work well and I like them with only one caveat - the front sight extends so far back that the sight picture (distance between front and rear sight) is slightly less than on my Glock 19.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you!

+1

Had Meps installed on a brand new P229, and the slide came back with thousands of tiny scratches. An expert explained that rather than using the Sig sight tool, the slide had been placed in a leather-padded vise. Moreover, the leather had not been changed in a good while and thus was impregnated with gobs of metal filings that accounted for the scratches on my gun.

Sig assured me that they could reverse and refinish for as good as new but the shop would not pay. So I sued and the judge forced them to pay. It was a significant amount compared to the cost of the gun; $350 or so if I recall correctly.

My rule from that experience is that only factory-certified armorers will work on my guns. I'll happily pay a little more up front to avoid that ordeal on the back end.

To the point of the post, night sights are standard for me and I do prefer Meps as the dots seem a bit bigger than the Trijicons. Wouldn't be so hot on anything Tru-Glo based, as that rod is quite breakable.

Have Trijicons (w/o bible verses) on my G19. They work really well, especially at when I shoot at certain ranges which don't have the greatest lighting. I also got to use them once at an indoor range that simulated night conditions--worked great. In fact, I think I shot better in the dark!
