who is going to be there tomorrow? I am thinking about braving the crowds and tables of cheap-o knives to buy some ammo and see if there are any S&W 625 pre-locks lurking around.

I've heard mac's reloads no longer attends the chantilly shows... Are there any powder vendors there anymore? Mac used to be about it. Hate to drop the almost $25 for me and the misses and get inside and find the powder I want ins't available.

Went to the show today. It seems like a lot less junk and a lot more guns and gun related items. Was nice to see. We didn't buy anything. Some creeper guy tried to get his hand into my wife's handbag. It was clearly intentional and after figuring out what was going on when the wife confronted him, I told him he'd best move on. Thought about getting the law involved, but didn't.

Glad you got that taken care of!

I think a guy intentionally brushed up against my butt. Can't really blame him, though. *sizzle*

Anyways, I got a good deal on a 1911 (Springfield Range Officer) and split a 1,000 round case of 45 ACP with a buddy of mine. Good day!

I do agree that there was less crap and more good stuff this time.

What was the LEO presence like this time around? Any harassment outside of venue?

I saw a lot of FFX Co units outside, but no harassment. Had one drive right by as my friend and I were splitting our case of 45 ACP.

I went yesterday and was very impressed. It was my first time there and I was suprised by how many vendors there were. It was far and away the largest gun show I have ever attended.

The prices were, surprisingly, not that different from what I would see in Jacksonville even though the cost of living here is much higher.

Sadly it seems that no matter where you go there is always one constant: the ATM is out of service.

I will certainly be back for the next show.

and that is exactly why shitbags continue to commit crimes. You should have grabbed one of the Troopers and had him arrested.

Took my fiancée whose only previous gun show was the one we attended in Michigan that happened to be in the same expo center as the wedding show. That one was horrible - overpriced guns, lots of questionable folks wearing white power gear, and lots of crap. Best vendor was an older man selling his wife's pies. If we hadn't stuffed our faces at the wedding show, we would have bought one. (Also felt like supporting a black man in a sea of idiots.)

She was impressed with the show here. She picked up a belt, holster, and mag holder from Wild Bill; picked up another holster from Next Holster. I picked up the M&P Shield which she will borrow at the range until she becomes a resident. All in all, a good trip.

I hear ya, but I had 4 kids in tow and the 8 month old in the stroller was tired of that place and *ready to go* if you know what I mean.

Mixed reviews as far as I'm concerned. I went to the show on Sunday afternoon. There were a few deals to be found, but you had to hunt for them. I wound up buying a pistol for the price I was prepared to pay for it. I couldn't really find anything I wanted cheaper than I could get online, so I had an "okay" time. My wife and son, who weren't really in the mood to go at first, wound up having a great time, and would've stayed longer than the 2-1/2 hours we spent there.

I went. Picked up some new plastic grips for a gun I got at the show LAST time (I think it was a good deal..) Was looking for mother-of-pearl, but didn't find any. I think I'll just take the plastic ones and try that Krylon Fusion paint. I'm thinking something like Fushia grips on a chromed .32 might look interesting. :pistol:

all in all...a good show.
The day they outlaw firearms is the day I become a criminal.
