VA beach WALMARTs
Do Walmarts in VA beach (specifically Chesapeake or surroundings) sell guns and ammo? I'm looking for a Rem 870 and 12ga ammo, does any Walmart in the area stock em?

Not sure what part of the city you're in, but the Wal-Mart on Princess Anne and Lynnhaven stocks a decent selection of 12ga shells.

Thanks.... what about the gun itself? Do they stock it? Or could you name the gun store offering the 870 cheapest of all, and price?

Not sure about which guns they stock and their website isn't much help. Time for a road trip.

There are WalMarts that don't sell guns? Mr. Sam must be spinning in his grave.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

How long does it take for you to walk out of a Walmart with a gun?

RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm kidding about that
No longer than anywhere else. All depends on how long it takes the VSP to give the green light.

Re: VA beach WALMARTs
I purchased a Henry .22 at my local Wal-Mart a few years ago. I actually got them to do a special order, as I couldn't find the gun I wanted locally, and they had the best price. When I went to pick it up, the guy at the gun counter was very professional, did the background check, etc. I had to go to the lay-away counter to pick it up, as that's where one goes to get special orders. When they brought it up, I asked if I could open the box to look at it, make sure all was OK with it. Got lots of funny looks from lay-away customers and Wal-Mart associates working in lay-away. Guess they don't get too many gun sales back there.
After the purchase, I had intended to go to the sporting goods section of the store to get some ammo (they made me pay for the gun at lay-away). I was informed that I had to leave the store with the gun. A manager escorted me to the door.
The experience was actually kinda surreal. Not the typical gun store experience.

The Walmarts in Northern Virginia do not sell anything over a B-B Gun, no .22's or ShotGuns. too many Liberals were scared
to go to walmart and shop with guns in there.

The Walmart on 29 on the north side of Charlottesville carries long guns of all sorts.
The one just off I64 east of C'ville on US15 (which seems, to me, to be in the "booinies") carries NO guns that I know of.

That, of course, is not counting the time it takes to get somebody to finally show up and actually get around to waiting on you at the confounded sporting goods counter. Pack your lunch.

The WalMart off Lynnhaven Parkway near Lynnhaven Mall does not sell any guns (except air guns), and never seem to have any ammo in stock (Surprise, surprise !).

I live right down the road from Wal Mart in Suffolk on College Drive. They didn't have much for ammo the other day, but they sure do sell shotguns and small cal rifles.
