that or a guillotine. Forget all this emphasis on his childhood, sexual abuse and bullying. He killed people and was caught red handed. Forget appeals, temporary insanity, how he wasn't breast fed as a child, and all that other crap.

Execute mass murderers. That's it.

One clip recovered at the scene could hold 100 rounds for his assault rifle.......... This was from an article online....... How many Garands would that be? I have NEVER seen a hundred round "clip"
We continue to be exasperated by the view, apparently gaining momentum in certain circles, that armed robbery is okay as long as nobody gets hurt! The proper solution to armed robbery is a dead robber, on the scene.

I'm seeing comments on ALL sites COUNTERING the call for gun control with the same logic here of "The guy was CLEAN, and EDUCATED! There was NO indications!"

Dennis Miller once said, "Everyone goes off, you just don't wanna be living next to the nut when it happens." :coffee:

I'm sure we all know by now that the lame stream media has no idea what the correct termonology is for anything related to guns. You would think they could do a little research so they at least seem like they know what they are talking about. What a bunch of dumbasses.

Apparently the rifle had a drum magazine, I've seen 75 rd. drums for AK's.

He was also throwing gas grenades of some sort, either tear or smoke.

To clarify my earlier post I believe in most other mass shootingsan amred citizen would have been an asset in stopping the attacker, but in the environment and circumstances this one occurred I do not think it would have helped. The gas grenades alone, damn.

This dude was some sort of boy wonder too, wonder why he surrendered instead of the blaze of glory thing?

Totally premeditated. I wonder what was his motive? It is sad to see thing like this happen in our own country.

Even the Chief of police referred to the hi-capacity "clips".

You'd think at least he'd use correct terminology

There is at leas 3/4 of a generation of poeple still alive that call it a clip. You better get used to hearing it for awhile. Hell the military used to train people with that terminology. Pick something else to criticize.

In these cases where a guy just goes off and tries to kill everybody he can...I dont know if there is a rational motive. He just hates himself and everybody else.

I've quoted before...

"Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."- Alfred, "The Dark Knight".

He's one of those men.

We've been here before, but we're also talking about a nation of "gunowners" now. There are MORE of US than of the ANTI'S... granted they own the mouth piece, and the long-legged liar in chief. However, WE provide an example.

My mother said this weekend when she heard them talking about "Arsenals, and Ammo", "...you've got more ammuntion than that, and own more weapons than he did... and you haven't done anything stupid like this..."

EXACTLY! WE are the shining example!

Now you've gone and done it. You've given me an idea. By now you should know how dangerous a proposition THAT is.

Anyway, here's the idea:

The forum owner should use his massive influence in the internet webmasters' world (or in a pinch, some smaller outfit like the NRA might could manage this) to get a nationwide internet poll started. Respondents would have to be legitimized in some manner to exclude trolls and anti-gunners trying to screw up the survey, so NRA and other sporting and gun-rights organization membership might be a good list to go by, but their answers should be totally anonymous. I suggest FOUR questions:

(1) DO YOU OWN MORE GUNS THAN THE AURORA, CO. THEATER MASSACRE SHOOTER (4, WASN'T IT)?
(2) DO YOU OWN MORE THAN 100 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION?
(3) DO YOU OWN ANY HIGH-CAPACITY (MORE THAN 8 ROUNDS) MAGAZINES (NRA MEMBERS WILL KNOW THEY ARE NOT CLIPS)?
(4) DO YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER FELT THE URGE TO MURDER INNOCENT PEOPLE?

Idea is to get a number for just part of the people whose rights and priviledges would be stomped upon by a law abridging our Second Amendment rights just in case some nutjob dedcides to pull another one-in-ten-million debacle.

A smart gun owner would answer 'no' for to all questions because nothing on the Internet is totally anonymous.

Fine. Let the NRA do it by mail and then shred the responses after tabulation. They waste enough postage asking me to join eight times a year when I already have a 5-year membership paid up.

- - - - - ah...F%$# it.............. I was just venting anyway. But the day may come when we'll HAVE to stand up and be counted. When/if that day comes, will we have waited too long?

Things in the past few days that I have heard calls for to be banned:

1. "Assault weapons".....also known as any scary looking semi auto rifles.
2. Semi auto handguns of every kind.
3. Magazines holding more than 10 rounds.
4. Internet ammo sales and strict limits on how much ammunition can be purchased. Also knows as rationing.
5. Any gear called "tactical" gear including body armor, bullet proof vests, gas masks etc.
6. End to private gun sales (although all sales in the is case were through a dealer).
7. A limit to how many firearms a person can own.
8. National permits to buy firearms.

The nuts are out in force and they are much scarier than anything this shooter did.
While I agree that a CCW holder might not have stopped the shooter, there is a chance that someone shooting back at this guy might have scared him into leaving sooner. After all, he was in no mood to go out in a blaze of glory once the cops got to him.

Did anyone see how this nutjob looked in court today?. The gun grabbers finally have their poster boy by which to depict every gun owner in the country.

Nothing to indicate he might have a screw loose, huh? I guess. - I know a very got-it-together young lady about his age whose hair is somewhere between hot pink and bright crimson. But it DO look right odd, fer a fact.

Maybe his lawyer bought him the hair dye.

I guess if you were a veteran of the Va Tech massacre, that picture might cause flashbacks; and even if it didn't the irony of the maroon jumpsuit and orange hair would not be lost.
