I own a Kimber Stainless TEN II 1911 with the stock sights... which are great for carry since they really won't hang on anything. But I'm looking to get new ones I found some Ghost ring sights for it which I really like the idea of but im wondering if anyone else has put this type of sight on a pistol and whether or not you liked them. Personally i loved them on my brothers M1a and was very accurate with them. Just asking for opinions.
Thanks

Re: 1911 Sights
Ghost rings on pistols are not very common, they haven't really caught on. The theory behind the naysayer position is that unlike on a rifle or shotgun, the sights of a pistol are too far from the eye to make a ghost ring useful.
You can certainly give them a try and see if they suit you. Everyone is different.

Yeah that does make a lot of since I didn't think about the difference in how far away from my eye it will be and at $190 I'm not sure if I will be trying them out just yet. But if I do I will post my opinion since there arn't alot of reviews about it.
