Howdy All!
Howdy from Rockbridge County! I discovered your forum by accident. I must say it is nice to find a Va. Gun Forum. I learned how to shoot in 1994 when I took a class at VMI. I continued with my firearms education getting into hunter education, then teaching. I've been active in RTKBA. I took my CHP training at VMI as well. I'm an NRA and VCDL member.

Welcome!
I am not a pacifist. Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty. Life belongs to those who do not fear to lose it

Welcome Dressage Rider! Love the sport. I used to compete low-level but now my horse is older and and we just trail ride and toodle around. He still loves to collect himself and leg yield though. He thinks he is KingSh*t when he does it and he'll cut a diagonal all the way across the arena.
Have you ever shot from horse-back?

I really enjoy it. I would have ridden today, except it was pouring down rain. I just learned how to leg-yield this summer, but had a little problem in June. I'm getting back into training. The rain messed me up. I need to get back in the groove if I'm going to show in the fall.Sweetpea wrote:Welcome Dressage Rider! Love the sport. That is something I have not tried doing, shooting from horseback. That would sure take some training just to get this horse to accept that. He's fairly bomb proof, as a rule. There is a SASS club, in the area, as far as I know, but I don't think they have a mounted unit.
