They must have had a blizzard of orders to take it off the market like that, or a major problem with the supplier. Items are backordered to September.

Too bad. I'd buy one.

Nothing new here. It's called a utili-kilt. You can find many that are better made than this one. Granted they are far more expensive but they will last forever and www.utilikilts.com has the option for tacticool digi cam and old school forest camo. And don't knock em till you try em ;) looks can be decieving.

The BEST thing about a kilt is when you are out in the woods and you gotta take a whiz...i mean INSTANT RELIEF!

And I'd guess the WORST thing is when you are out in the woods and it's really cold, IT'S REALLY COLD!

The cheapest Utilikilt costs 3x as much as a 5.11, and the standard models 5x. Not a product for my budget.

Been thinking about the proposition of wearing a kilt out in the woods in light of my experience hunting deer, squirells, grouse, etc; not to mention camping, fishing, and just generally tramping around in the mountains. What I've decided is that the only explanation for the kilt is that there must not be any poison ivy or sawbriars in Scotland.

Biggest problem with teh 5.11, that I can see, is the damned Teflon Coating. In case no one noticed - Teflon is slippery. If you choose to go American (ie wearing undershorts) you can't keep the damned thing up - especially fully loaded. I have the same problem with 5.11 shorts & pants.

How ironic - you can't keep them up, and as has already been pointed out, you don't need to drop them. :hysterical:
