New member checking in, just a little about myself. I'm a pharmacist by profession, who also runs a small Christmas tree farm in the Shenandoah Valley. I've been blessed with enough land to have a small range on the property as well. I use this range as a means to introduce many new shooters to the sport. I'm a freak about safety, which I feel makes new shooters feel more comfortable in entering into the realm of the shooting sports. I love to deer hunt, and enjoy all 3 weapon seasons. I can be found spending a few summer days in my basscat, although I often do more fishing than "catching."
I'm much more of a "pointer" than I am a 'swinger" meaning that I'm fairly proficient with rifles and handguns, but not so much with shotguns. Hence my relatively small arsenal of scatterguns. I've been a lifetime member of the NRA since 1990 or so, and have carried a CCW permit for many years as well. I look forward to talking with you all on this forum. Thanks for letting me on board!

Oh yeah, like every Virginian who has a loyal disposition to root for the home team, I'm a die-hard Redskins fan as well. So, I'm used to a little ribbing.

on our website http://www.fragrantfirs.com you will see one picture that has a tree "tagged" (picture is at very top.) Thanks everyone. It's good to have a forum where I just talk firearms. I've learned that almost all gun people are good people, so the welcome here doesn't surprise me at all
