Just sounds like a bunch of BS to me. First you need to be aware of gun laws in other states, "not knowing" is not an excuse. If you did refuse him access to search and he did anyways you need to sue the PD. Unless he charged you with a felony and you get convicted your VA CHP should be just fine.

Any updates? I would like to know what happened at court.
