Ruger SR-22 Pistol

Post by Mindflayer »

Picked up a Ruger SR-22 pistol today and took it for a spin at the range after a quick clean. No issues, ate all 100 rounds just fine. Trigger in SA is actually surprisingly good; double action is still decent. Lots of fun and will be perfect for training and for taking new people to the range.

What did that run you and where did you get it? My wife wants one.

Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore is where I picked up ours. They have them for $289 + sh, which was ~$10 or so I believe. The pistol is really nice and seems very reliable and accurate. Definitely a lot of fun to shoot and easy to take down and clean.

I need to either buy one of these or a Walther P22. I think the kids would get a kick out of it.

How accurate compared with the Ruger Mk II/III pistols? I have read some reviews where accuracy wasn't its strong point.... But I would rather hear from real people.

It's a shorter barrel, but fixed. It's pretty accurate, IMO. Of course, I am not the best person to determine achievable accuracy.

Beats the P-22 in every aspect.
