Here's the side of the target, looking back @ 500 yards:

500 Yard Targe:

3 hits, 1 miss with the AR (far left miss, far left hit, far right hit, and the lowest hit in the white are all out of the AR - the other 3 shot group closest to the dime in the picture is 4.25", out of my 6.5x55...) Not bad considering how windy it was. Yes, I had one shot miss completely. Grr. :-) I'm blaming the wind for that one. Shooting Fiocchi 55 gr FMJ bulk ammo, so it's not the best, but if I can hit that @ 500 yards 3/5 shots in fairly breezy conditions, I'll take it!!

I have to say it's quick to get on target, and it's fairly easy to use. I had it dialed in with 3 shots, and everything after that was good to go. I initially had issues with how large I thought the reticle would be, because the pictures always show a huge circle - but it's easy to shoot with both eyes open, scanning the field, and it's fairly easy to line up the dots on the appropriate range... Glad I picked up one from All-In-General!

Nice looking gun. I let people shoot how they want, but when you say quick to get on target, that was without the bench and sandbag right ? :pistol:

I did shoot some offhand, but I didn't get to as much as I wanted... But yes, took some shots standing at closer range to test getting on target...at 3x, its a pretty big field of view. At this range, everything had to impact past 100... I'll go to the shorter range next time (it was closed for a SASS match) so I can really give it a good CQC workout at shorter range.

I am just a little curious, why did you have the scope mounted on the carrying handle instead of on the reciever rail or does the mount come seperate from the scope and the store doesn't stock the mount? It is a good looking scope for an AR. I hope it serves you well. :lovegunporn:

That is pretty nice looking range you were at, where was it?

Nice stick you have there.

I have the same scope on my Sig M400. I originally mounted it on the flat top rail using the base it came with. But I didn't like it there. The scope is 3X. It's too much power to co-witness with the iron sights. And not enough power to not see the front sight. The blurred image of the front sight in the bottom third of the field of view reminded me of a little dark ghost and was distracting. So I moved it to the handle. I like it better there. The front sight is no longer seen. It also sits back a bit further. The AR332 has decent eye relief, but not great. Mounting it on the flat top ahead of a BUIS forced me to go nose-to-the-charging-handle to get a good sight picture.

Micro nailed why it's on the handle. The front sight shows too much if you mount it to the rail - it's got a see-through mount so you can still use iron sights while it's on the handle if it gets banged up, and it's quick to pull off the handle...it comes with the mounts to attach to the rail, you can purchase a quick detach mount for it separately but I doubt I'll ever have the need for that.

The range is Roanoke Rifle & Revolver, just outside of Roanoke.

Nice gun! Where is that range? I am up here in Woodbridge Virginia and we do not have any long ranges around here! That looks like a sweet place to shoot!
