Firearm purchase with Green Card

Post by lapicito »

Hi guys, i'm going to pick up my first gun, i know upfront that my application is going to be delayed because i am not a us citizen i am a green card holder, so USCIS needs to clear me too. My question is how long could take this additional step???

Thanks.

who knows... it's like asking "how high is up?"
heck, even citizens who proclaim no qualifying factors seem to be delayed a week or more in what's s'posed to be an instant check.

please let us know how it goes for you. it'll be a valuable data point.

Reminds me of Reagan's joke:

Well, just an update. I went today to pick up my glock and of course my application was delay; i knew it was going to be delay because Immigration has to clear me too, not a problem, i asked the guy how long should be the delay and he told me that in these days "the normal" processing time of a delay application is 4-5 days.

There has been an increase in sales of guns that maintain a huge backlog.

They are going to call me when i can pick it up.

Ill keep you posted.
