I figured:

Used Rifle = 500-700
Used Scope = 300-350
Bi-Pod = 60-100
Rings = 75-125

Nervous.. But been shopping around the internet for a month and seemed reasonable.. ( at $1000 ) then it jumped out of control after that lol

That's a very nice and well put-together shooting system that will last forever. And 308 WIN has always been at the top of my favorites list. I think you did well. Congratulations and "good shooting!"

I got jealous! So I looked around a little. Found an old review on the rifle. Says it is police sniper version (guess you knew that) with a varmint weight barrel, but with same stock as a military fully bedded M24 stock. It did fault the trigger as too heavy, but a trigger job or a drop in trigger would solve that if it has not already been done. A current offering 700 with the 28 in heavy barrel and super sniper type stock has a MSRP of over $2000 and a lower end 700 has a MSRP under $700. Sounds like the PSS was the "tactical" model 700 of it's day so that is a plus and if made today would have a MSRP for something closer to the high end than low.

http://www.snipercountry.com/inreviews/ ... 700pss.asp

The VX-II 6-8X40 with target turrets is listed on Midway USA for $550. Don't know which Harris Bipod you have but seems like most of them are close to $100 or more.

Make your own guess - but with only 50 rounds thru it, and if in excellent shape, I would says you got a good deal, so get ready to do some long shootin'.

Now I'm more jealous! Enjoy it to the fullest!

Remington loses a brownie point.. They didn't post the twist ratio on the barrel.. errrrr.. Though it has Ilion, NY as the manufacture.. So it's Custom Shop ;)
