Newbie from Hampton Roads
Checking in over here. I first heard about VAGF on opencarry.org on the advertisement on forum. And a few friends were on here so I figured I would join.
I am from Chesapeake and I just started out in firearms last summer. Bought my Taurus PT-145 and love it. I received my CHP in November, attended Lobby Day in January, met lots of great people and learned a good majority of the laws. This year I have picked up a 709S and a PT-99. I researched what I wanted, avoided the few bad models Taurus has out and quite happy with what I ended up with. Still waiting to hear back about my free NRA membership from buying a Taurus in 2011. Will be supporting others over the next couple paychecks of my new job.
I look forward to hangin out on the forum and meeting other members. Anyone else got a Dane??

Awesome! We should have a dog day. Last weekend I OC'd with another member went hiking by my house. Lots of hills and Roo loved playing in the swamp of all things. Got the truck stuck, saw some atvs sink in the swamp, had a good time.

Re: Newbie from Hampton Roads
I've never had a Great Dane, but I've met a few of them.
I was installing a satellite system in someones house once, and they had a Great Dane who knocked me down, sat on me, then tried to lick my face off. Big ol' playful puppy, he was. Later, I watched him go to the sliding glass door, remove the security stick, unlock the door with his tongue, then open the door. When he stepped out, he shut the door behind him. I commented to the home owner that I was impressed that they were able to teach him that trick, she said "Oh, $h1t... he's not supposed to go outside... " Later, she said that the Dane had figured that trick out on his own. Clever.

Danes are insanely smart, but even more goofy. Just watch this video.... Smart puppy opening a round door knob.

A dane that just left our rescue would go ALL over the house and close every single door. He always locked himself in the bathroom.
